Give the gift of safety and hope.

For 37 years, Nights of Safety has provided safe emergency shelter to domestic violence survivors and their children. ALIVE's original program began through the generosity of volunteer safe home providers opening their homes to women and children fleeing domestic violence. The program evolved into a unique model using confidentially located partner motels for shelter, providing flexibility and capacity when traditional shelters are full and other options are unavailable.

As COVID-19 health risks impact our community, ALIVE’s Nights of Safety program is needed now more than ever. As we all do our best to slow the curve by remaining at home as much as possible, domestic abuse survivors are subjected to more time with their abusers, greater risks of danger, and fewer safe options to remove themselves from their abusive environments. ALIVE continues its mission, creatively modifying services to meet the current level of and anticipated spike in client needs. Your donation helps ensure ALIVE can provide Nights of Safety shelter clients with basic needs like nonperishable food, bottled water and juice, and personal care essentials (like soap, toothpaste, or diapers, to name a few).

On behalf of the clients we serve, THANK YOU for supporting safe shelter availability and for empowering domestic violence survivors in our area to build safe, happy, hopeful futures.

Gifts to ALIVE are tax deductible, and those totaling $100 or more per calendar year qualify for Missouri Domestic Violence Shelter Tax Credits worth 50% of the donation. Consult your tax advisor for information.
