A non-competitive, fun, family friendly Katy Trail bike event supporting families impacted by domestic abuse
Grab your bike and round up your family, friends, and colleagues on October 14 for Pedal to Peace on the Katy Trail! This non-competitive, fun bike ride supporting domestic violence survivors presented in partnership with Molly Maid of St. Louis. Join us to help to help raise awareness, support programs for survivors and their children, and strengthen the movement to end domestic violence.
Pedal to Peace begins at the Katy Trail's Matson Trail Head, just southwest of Defiance, MO on Highway 94. Sign in to get ride information and Pedal to Peace swag. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery as you ride to Augusta, where lunch will be provided, before you head back to Matson (10.8 miles round-trip). Enjoy contests, raffles, and the satisfaction of knowing you're making a difference by riding in Pedal to Peace.
Suggested minimum donation to participate is $25, including lunch, swag bag, and t-shirt. Kids ages 4 to 14 are only $10, including lunch and a swag bag. Children 3 and younger are free! (You can add an additional donation in the amount of your choice during the registration payment process.) We encourage you to request additional support from other generous individuals you know, and we'll send you a link to set up your own fundraising page (complete with tools to communicate why you're riding for/supporting this important cause). It's easy and fun!
Create your own team or ride as an individual supporter. If you're on a team, you can indicate the team name in the Ticket Event Questions field on the payment page (next). You can also indicate your team affiliation by emailing email@example.com. Prizes will be awarded to individual riders for Best Decorated Bike and Highest Total Donations Raised by a Rider. Teams can win prizes for Most Team Spirit and Highest Total Donations Raised by a Team.
Can't make it on October 14th? You can still join our movement! Simply sign up as a Remote Participant - Pedal to Peace Partner (above), and ride the 10.8 miles on your own, either outdoors or on a stationary bike. We'll provide the same tools to raise additional donations from your friends and family, and you can join the movement to end domestic violence from the comfort of your own home, gym, or street. We'll even make sure you receive your Pedal to Please swag bag after the October 14 event.You can also promote your business while you support families impacted by domestic abuse by becoming a Pedal to Peace sponsor. Check out the sponsorship opportunities above. It's simple, affordable, and truly makes a difference in building hopeful futures for domestic violence survivors. After registering, you'll receive two e-mails. One is a receipt for your event donation or sponsorship. The other is a confirmation of your participation in Pedal to Peace, with a link to create your own fundraising page. This includes templates for getting the word out via e-mail or social media and a thank you message to acknowledge donors supporting your Pedal to Peace participation. You can use these as is or revise to reflect your own unique message.
